Dyslexia Tutors in New Hampshire

Local provider listings plus state-specific guidance for families seeking reading support.

What families in New Hampshire should know

New Hampshire's Education Freedom Account (EFA) is now fully universal — the state removed its income cap entirely in June 2025, making every New Hampshire family eligible regardless of income, and the award is about $4,265 to $4,600 a year depending on the school year. That money can be spent directly on tutoring, not just private-school tuition.

One thing worth knowing: in June 2026, New Hampshire Public Radio reported that the nonprofit running the EFA program isn't requiring annual academic evaluations for students with disabilities who use the program, even though public school students with an IEP get evaluated every year. Lawmakers are questioning this gap. It doesn't affect your ability to get funding, but it's a reminder that oversight of how the program is working for kids with dyslexia and other disabilities is still a work in progress.

Tutor and therapist pathways

New Hampshire has no separate state-issued "dyslexia therapist" credential. Private tutors need no state license to operate, though EFA-approved vendors go through a ClassWallet vendor approval process. The national CALT, Barton, and Wilson certifications remain the practical standard for demonstrating qualification.
