What families in Indiana should know
Indiana requires every school corporation and charter school in the state to employ at least one "authorized reading specialist" specifically trained in dyslexia. Every teacher in Indiana also has to receive dyslexia-awareness training at least once.
Indiana also has an Education Scholarship Account for eligible students with disabilities and their siblings. Funding tiers and program administration can change, so families should verify current eligibility and amounts directly with the Indiana Department of Education.

Tutor and therapist pathways
There is no statewide private "dyslexia therapist" license required of tutors. Families may encounter providers with structured-literacy, Orton-Gillingham, CALT, Barton, Wilson, educational, or other training backgrounds; ask each provider to explain their preparation and approach.
